  Robert Knight


Robert Knight has played a managerial role in the housing industry since 1981. He has been General Manager, Controller, and President of Yankee Barn Homes [a leading timber frame manufacturer], as well as part owner. He has also consulted in the log home industry. He has run different businesses for 30 years and been involved with the sale, purchase, and financing of several of them. He brings a wealth of real world operational and financial experience. He has been involved with all aspects of sales and marketing including building two model homes.

He has participated in many professional programs and seminars offered by the NAHB, the Building Systems Council, and the Timber Framers Guild Business Council and has Certified Sales Professional designation from the NAHB.

He graduated from Dartmouth College with distinction and studied accounting and finance at Plymouth State University’s graduate school. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is a competitive marathoner and skier.

Scott Stroud


Scott Stroud has spent the last 29 years studying systems-built homes, the people who buy and build them, and why they continue to grow in popularity.  Scott joined the building industry in 1974 working on a framing crew.  In 1978 he became a log home dealer in his home town of Louisville, KY.  After growing a successful dealership and winning multiple sales awards, Scott entered the corporate world and for the past 13 years has served as VP of Sales and Director of Marketing for two leading home producers.
